Underfloor Heating Systems

Underfloor heating systems offer great flexibility in flooring and renovation works, no matter how big or small. So whether it’s a traditional boiler like an oil, gas or wood-burning boiler, or a complex energy-efficient green boiler, we have the right system for you.

Once we have discussed your requirements, we provide a full quotation with no hidden extras. If a bespoke UFH system is required, Express Screed use CAD software, showing loop installation designs, flow rates, heat loss calculations, manifold positions and all other relevant system requirements.

Our underfloor heating systems work by pumping a controlled flow of warm water from the boiler to whichever part of the floor calls for heat. This is done via a high-quality manifold system, and uses individual digital thermostatic controls over a network of pert al pert pipework embedded in the screeded floor.

Express Screed use Heatmiser digital thermostatic controls when designing a system, enabling maximum depth of control and heat output. These can also be used with the Heatmiser net monitor, allowing you to control the system via the internet and smart phone applications.

What Are the Advantages?

Complete control

Using the Heatmiser digital independent thermostatic controls, you can achieve the desired temperatures for each individual room or zone, therefore allowing complete comfort and control. You can choose which areas you want to heat, when to heat them and for how long – thereby reducing the amount of energy used.

Energy and space saving

Radiators typically use high-temperature water at around 70-80°C. In contrast, an underfloor heating system typically runs at around 35-50°C. Hence its increasing popularity as an energy-efficient heating option.

Space saving

As the underfloor heating system is hidden underground within the floor screed, there are no restrictions on the placement of furniture or fixtures and fittings. Improved air quality and well being Underfloor heating systems work as a form of radiant heating and, as such, eliminate the associated issues with convection heating – a major benefit to allergy and asthma sufferers.

Low maintenance

Once our underfloor heating system has been installed and commissioned, it can be run all by itself with no ongoing maintenance. Any maintenance works that are needed will therefore be undertaken above ground at the manifold or boiler position, with minimal disruption.
